Pictured below is my first go-kart. It was my 7th grade prized possession. I found a 1962 GK800 vintage go-kart on Craigslist. The plan was to restore it with 2 chainsaw engines. This was an unrealistic goal, as I at the time was not capable of doing a restoration, nor did I have the funds to get vintage engines. Instead I adapted some old electric scooter parts onto the back. With that, I had myself a very simple 20 mile an hour machine. This was only the introduction, and it got me acquainted with basic knowledge about electronics and gear ratios, but it was a very good start.
